Congratulations to Nights and Weekends- The World Touring Act for the 2009 Music Festival! The group completed a successful tour in September and October 2009.

As the tour recipient, Anthem launched these artists' international music career as the group embarked on a mini world tour, including capstone performances in Cape Town, South Africa. Nights and Weekends performed a series of shows at the world-renown Wadda Bar and shared the stage with some of South Africa's greatest musicians. While on tour, they had additional performances at University of Cape Town, in two townships, live on the radio and more. All international travel and accommodation expenses were a part of this tour, including a safari.

Congratulations to all participating acts. The judging panel had a tremendously difficult time deciding as all seven finalists are exceptional in their own right. Scores and online voting were close, but Nights and Weekends managed to edge out the other finalists, and launched their first international performances...with surely many more in the years to follow. Nights and Weekends returned home to continued success with more MTV appearances and a performance at an opening event at the CMJ Music Festival in New York.

Anthem is proud of the seven finalists, 58 semifinalists, and approximately 1200 participating acts of the 2009 IMF.
